Yoga Is Just Not For Me

This morning I had this brilliant idea to do a 30 minute yoga DVD, what was I thinking? Well, I'll tell you what popped into my head. I have seen pictures of celebs the likes of Jenny McCarthy, Jennifer Aniston, Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow and Reese Witherspoon, to name a few, well, those are actually the only ones I read about who practice yoga. My point is, they are really lean and toned all over and since I am trying to lose this baby weight and achieve a lean and toned physique I figured, what the heck, lets give it one more try.

Yeah, I know what your question is, when have I ever done yoga? Well for your information, in 2007 I started P90x which is pretty intense and yoga was apart of the program, so yes, I did yoga for 6 weeks but only 6 times and I absolutely hated it. All I kept saying was "crap, crap, crap", I'm quite sure you should be thinking more harmonious thoughts during yoga. So since that was more than a year ago I figure how hard could a 30 minute session be, the answer is really hard and to think that was for beginners.

The truth is I prefer fast paced workouts and you all know that yoga is just the opposite of that. Its slow controlled movements just does not cut it for me, even though you do work up a tremendous amount of sweat.

The moral of the story is 'No More Yoga'!!!

Namaste, that's all I got from yoga.

I gather your're expecting my experience with yoga to be more "favourable". I have to think that 'cause I know you love me so it's not a case of trying to inflict punishment on your baby sister by even suggesting it to me.

I promise I will start working out by Monday God's willing and will definitely attempt yoga and pilates. Who knows.... the fact that I cannot stand the fast paced work-outs should be an indication that the "slow controlled movements" of yoga will be simply perfect (I Pray).
